Cineposium 2021
Due to the ongoing health and safety issues the Covid-19 virus presented, AFCI decided to conduct the 2021 iteration of Cineposium virtually. Virtual Cineposium was held October 19 -21, 2021. The three-day event featured panels on Film Tourism, Workforce Development, Stage and Screen Development, Sustainability, Inclusivity and Diversity. Most sessions were held in AFCI’s “How Would You Handle It” format: the sessions were led by a film commissioner and all participants were invited to ask questions and share their experiences.
For 44 years, Cineposium has been the epicenter for film commissioners to learn, share experiences and create lifelong bonds. There is no other global event that provides such opportunities specifically for our industry. 2022 saw the return of live events at AFCI, including Cineposium.
Who Attended?
AFCI members and their entire office staff.
2021 saw an invitation to all AFCI members and their teams to participate for one rate: $200.00. Members were encouraged to invite producers, law makers and others related to the production industry who were based in their regions.
Program of events
The recordings of the Cineposium 2021 conference were available on the Ohyay platform. Ohyay is a third-party platform that features an interactive interface including a main conference room and individual “rooms” that were both set up by AFCI as well as rooms individuals could set up and invite attendees to join.
The content was available for two weeks upon the close of the event: from October 21 to November 4th, 2021.
