Cineposium 2023

We regret to inform you that after careful deliberation, a decision was reached between Film in Limerick and AFCI in consultation with Fis Éireann/ Screen Ireland to postpone this year’s Cineposium event.

Created to provide education and celebrate the greater production industry, Cineposium also held great value to the host city in spotlighting its region and local infrastructure. Due to the ongoing global uncertainty within the international industry right now due to the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, we feel it is best for everyone who participates in Cineposium to conduct the event at a later date.
We understand that this may cause some disruption to our members plans, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

What’s next?

If you have already registered, please contact us for next steps. Our teams are in the process of securing new dates for Cineposium and are committed to bringing you an incredible lineup of speakers and participants.

Ireland has become a hub for productions of all types over the past decade. Boasting a wealth of production locals, stages and strong infrastructure, the region has hosted award winning series such as HBO’s Game of Thrones, History Channel’s Vikings and Derry Girls, (originally airing on Channel 4 and later released on Netflix) and critically heralded films including Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), The Northman (2022) and The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). The region has also become a model for workforce development and sustainability efforts. Due to its consistent advancements and strong bid, AFCI is pleased to announce Limerick, Ireland will be the host of Cineposium 2023.
