AFCI is pleased to announce the dates of the Third Annual AFCI Week: March 30-April 3, 2020. This multi-day, exclusive event open to AFCI Members and Affiliates includes networking opportunities with high-level industry decision makers in the entertainment and production industries,, educational opportunities targeted at enhancing business practices and prime opportunities for lead-generation
AFCI Week 2020 will again include the Physical Production Power Brunch and Meet the Execs (Business-to-Business Industry Day). Event details will be updated as venues and partners are confirmed.
AFCI Week 2020 will be based at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, located at the intersection of La Cienega and Beverly Boulevards. The Sofitel is providing AFCI with a block of rooms available at the pre-tax rate of $204/night. This rate extends to rooms booked with check in on Sunday, March 29th through check out on Saturday, April 4. Stay tuned for booking instructions.
Sponsorship opportunities for this major event are varied and range from advertising in the AFCI Week program (distributed at major events) to full week sponsorship with speaking opportunity at the Physical Production Power Brunch. MARCH 30 - APRIL 3, 2020 | EVENTS SCHEDULE
The first two days of AFCI Week 2020 will be focused on professional development. Members are invited to roll up their sleeves and engage with other members and select industry experts who will be brought in to present on specific topics.
Confirmed presenters to date include: Intimacy Coordinator Amanda Blumenthal. Amanda will give an introduction to intimacy coordination and also cover gender and sexuality sensitivity and how this information is relevant to the production process.
Over the two days there will also be a series of member-to-member presentations so members can learn from one another and gain deeper insight into how other territories are responding to critical issues. Topics for discussion include the surge in content and the need for workforce development/training and infrastructure (studios and alternate studio space). These are issues facing every territory.
Tuesday will be the second of a two day professional development program. Please see the overview of Day 1 for a sense of the content which will be offered across the two days.
Tuesday evening there will be an industry reception with executives from both the film and television sector. All attendees will have name badges to make for ease of networking.
The 3rd Annual Physical Production Power Brunch
An exclusive invite-only Brunch discriminately curated by AFCI and The Hollywood Reporter to honor physical production executives.
This event places you alongside the current senior physical production executives from Studios, mini-majors, OTT companies and major production companies across both film and television. A seated affair designed to enable meaningful engagement and create new relationships, the event kicks off with an hour pre-brunch to network with attendees.

Industry – this is your chance to talk locations, incentives and infrastructure with Commissions and supporting organizations from around the globe.
Industry professionals are invited to attend the Global Lounge.
This event is an exhibition and networking opportunity enabling Members and Affiliates to promote their region or services directly to industry insiders. In 2020 AFCI will partner with key associations and organizations to ensure a high calibre of attendees including: Commercial Producers, Short Form Content/Digital Producers, Game Developers, Locations Managers and Independent Producers. AFCI Members and Affiliates are invited to send names to AFCI to be added to the door list.
