AFCI Announces Leadership Changes
The Association of Film Commissioners International announces that Martin Cuff has left his position as Executive Officer and is returning to his company Martin Cuff Consulting, a firm that specializes in working with governments and associations.
Regarding his time with the AFCI, Martin commented: "I believe strongly that film commissions are too often under-rated as important and valuable members of the film industry. They perform an extraordinary service and I was happy to be able to work with the AFCI on initiatives that help to raise the profile of film commissioners and their role in the filmmaking process.
At the recent AFCI Board meeting, which took place during the Toronto International Film Festival, the AFCI Board voted unanimously to appoint Kevin Clark as the new Executive Director. Starting his eighth year with the AFCI, Kevin has in-depth knowledge of the association, has overseen numerous programs and initiatives, and brings a strong emphasis to member service and relationships.
Upon the announcement, Kevin responded, “I am very excited to begin my new role with the AFCI. The future has a great deal in store for us, with a completely new system for online education, the return of Cineposium in 2013, expanded media tools through Beyond Cinema magazine, and so much more. Working with our worldwide membership and industry partners, I am committed to delivering professional, timely, and efficient tools and products for film commissions”.
The AFCI thanks Martin Cuff for his service and looks forward to working with him in the future.
