The Georgian National Film Center is a legal entity of public law under the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia.  It was established on the basis of the Georgian law on "State Support to National Cinema," adopted on December 5, 2000.

Georgian Film Commission (GFC) is established on the basis of the Georgian National Film Center.  The mission of the GFC is to attract foreign filmmakers to the country and support foreign film productions through providing service in the information research and supporting them in the film, TV and commercial production process.
